Encouragement
I was at the lake and was admiring it and the sounds of the water splashing against the rocks and I looked up and saw this beautiful site. It reminded of God and all his wonderful works. I was also reminded of: Psalm 121:1-2 I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help. My help cometh from the LORD, which made heaven and earth. So I encourage you, no matter what you face, keep looking up.
When facing hard times…
There are times in life when we experience hard times. It may be sickness, death of a loved one, finance, etc. I have thought about these things a lot over the past few weeks. Last year was a difficult year for me because of the death of a loved one. I questioned God during this difficult time. I was grieving and felt it was the worst thing that had happened to me. I had always been told not to question God, but I did. Death is something we never get over but we just learn to deal with it over time. One thing that I have learned as I reflect back on hard times in my life is that I was never alone even though it felt like I was at the time. Through the good and bad, God was always there. I am also thankful for my family and friends who come to my rescue during these times. Complete strangers have walked up and gave me a word of encouragement and in those moments I look up toward the heaven and say thank you Lord. I am working on my relationship with God every day. I talk to Him, read the Bible and pray. I encourage you all today, if you are facing difficult times, to not give up. Pray for others that may be experiencing difficult times. Sometimes we have to intercede to God on behalf of others that may be experiencing difficult times. We never know what someone may be facing and you can not know how the other person feels because we are all different and handle things differently. Just remember, “I can do all things through Christ…”. There is where our strength lies. Just wanted to share that thought with you for today and may God bless you all.

Stepping out of your comfort zone….
My husband and I enjoyed the dinner theatre, Alonzo Williams production, “No Limits With Love”. It was an awesome play. The cast did an awesome job. I got an opportunity to promote my book while I was there. Thank you Mr. Williams. May God continue to bless you and your family. I have to admit I was nervous. I was quite comfortable sitting with my husband enjoying the play. I am one that usually prefers to stay behind the scenes. But I stepped out of my comfort zone and moved forward. I encourage you today, do not stay in your comfort zone just because it’s familiar and safe for you. It’s a big world out there waiting for you. Life is short, enjoy every moment. For everyone who has told me they have a book that has been written, a talent they want to pursue but they have not done anything with it. I ask one question, “what are you waiting for”? Step out of your comfort zone, and remember where your strength lies (Philippians 4:13).
